To A Frustrated Poet - R.J. Ellmann

This is a funny poem.  It's written to a frustrated poet (as the title implies; I love it when they do that) by his boss.  Basically the guy gets fired.  By poem.  I can really relate to it.  So many people I have worked with through the years seem to look down on education or trying to do better for yourself.  Or even being creative in any way.  It's sad, really.  I've been laid off several times now, but never by poem.  Would that make it any easier?  I doubt it.  But it's amusing to see the irony of a boss complaining that an employee is a poet, then firing them by poem.
