Experiment

Recently in class, we were discussing the difference you can make by repeating the last line of a poem, how it has a greater or more significant impact by repeating it.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Our writing prompt was "I never thought" or "I thought by now."  Here is what I wrote (with the addition of the repeated last line, because it seemed to make more of an impact to me):

I never thought I
Would be so busy without a
Job.  It's surprising how
Much time is spent at
"Work" when so many other
Things need to be done:
Cooking, shopping, cleaning,
Studying, a job does
Not allow for such things.
And appointments?
Forget about it.
There is life outside
Of work; so why are
We all trapped there?
Are we all trapped there?
